About

Munich Airport came to Interbrand Cologne in need of a refresh that would bring them into the 21st century, as well as enable them to communicate their brand values. The Airport itself is one of the busiest in the country, with over 40 million passengers in 2015, so why not give customers more reasons to travel through Munich.

It’s not just about getting people from one place to another, it’s about connecting lives.

The client didn’t want to lose the old brand, instead they requested that we simply let the style take ownership of what Munich Airport stood for. Connecting lives became the slogan of the airport’s brand values. The angle of the ‘M’ became the runway to other elements, connecting customers to other graphic interventions.

Our choice of photography was important, creating a sense of wonder and happiness, while also keeping the experience clean and clear.
