I was approached by a local author who, as it turned out, had an incredible story that she had written. She knew that I had illustrated two vanity-published children's books and was drawn to my style. She hired me to draw all the illustrations and the cover, and she would then embark upon means to seek out publishing for the book coupled with the illustrations.

Role
I was responsible for producing finished, colored pencil illustrations for 24 pages and a cover. I took her through an extensive storyboarding process after she provided a basic page-broken narrative, and after the storyboarding, we proceeded to agree upon precise styling of character concepts and costumes.
