About

Nagaoka University of Technology in Japan welcomes a fair amount of foreign students from all over the world, but especially encourages those who from developing countries. These ongoing assignments require a unique design challenge—it must appeal to both Japanese- and English-speaking audiences. Since I'm fluent in Japanese, these have been perfect projects. To the Japanese-speaking audiences, I'm able to provide a fresh, uncluttered look-and-feel (the average Japanese graphic design tends to be very busy), and to the English-speaking audiences, I'm able to give familiar sophisticated designs.

Industry

Education

These are for NUT's Continuing Professional Development. The English version is geared toward older professionals who want to continue their educations while still working on their researches, and the Japanese version is designed for the local enterprises who are interested in hiring the graduates.

This is for NUT's Twinning Program, where students can earn degrees from their native countries' and from NUT's programs. One of the requirements was to show as many client-provided photographs of the actual students. I chose the honeycomb shapes to fulfill the requirement, and also to convey their various fields and collaborations between the universities.
